Monday 1
Uploading some new stuff. Turns out the book I randomly picked off my shelf at the beginning of this year has a lot more pages than I assumed it would. I'm only about half way through it, but I feel like I'm ready to move on to a larger format book. So, maybe I'll put it on hold for a while and start out in a new book.
New, larger book also equals a higher likelihood of me doing more collage work, which is something I didn't realise I was missing until just now.
Also, I'll soon be opening up sections on the site where I can upload scans of the letters and doodles I send and receive via snail mail (snale male?). Feel the excitement.
Anyway, I hope you like the little bits I'm putting up now. Remember to email me your address if you want a letter.
Sunday 6
It's raining again, this is totally glorious. I need to write more letters, and do some more of the Cardboard Lovelies for Reuben, but on a personal note, this weather is making me ready for watercolours.
I'm looking forward to winter. Wearing layers, snuggling, hiding inside with hot milk and nutmeg and layers and layers of paint on my skin.
Yum.
Wednesday 10
Woke up early this morning to scan vintage sourcebooks in preparation for the surprise treat Reuben Ingall and I are planning for easter. It's a nice, almost cold day, I have a nice big list of things to do, which is exciting. I'm not sure how many I'll get done though, it's too perfect a day for working, it's a day for hiding on the couch under my Nepalese yak blanket and watching the special features of Lord Of The Rings (I haven't seen them yet).
I hope I can draw and learn about wetta works.
Friday 12
After two days of delightful chilled sunshine we're back to damp, cold, wetness again. I'm happy about this, I seem to be the only one.
I've been experimenting with masking fluid for the first time this last week, it's glorious fun, but I'm constantly terrified I'm going to ruin my brushes. I actually don't own any old brushes because I haven't really done much painting in my time. This is probably one of the only times in my life where my problem will be that my materials are in too good a condition.
Getting closer and closer to the actuality of finding my own place, and having my own studio room. I feel like this will fix my problems. I hope it will fix my problems. I'm starting to feel quite claustrophobic in my own space right now. I think it's because I tend to sleep amongst the drawings I'm doing, and draw amongst my floordrobe. My floordrobe only exists because most of the drawers in my room that COULD hold clothes are instead holding paper.
At least my priorities are sorted though... right?
Monday 29
It's been a while since I updated, I've been caught up with the kazoo easter thing. I swear I'll be back to normal, well, never. see you later.
